Voter Registration
By Mail
Download the Voter Registration Application, read the instructions, complete the form, and mail it to City Hall, 500 Genesee Street, Delafield, WI 53018. Please note, If you are submitting this registration form by mail, attach a copy of one of the following forms of identification:
- A copy of a current and valid photo identification; preferably a Wisconsin Driver's License.
- A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, pay check or government document that shows the name and address of the voter.
In Person
You may register in person at City Hall, 500 Genesee Street, Delafield, in the Clerk’s Office daily from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM, and until 5:00 PM on the day before an Election. You must bring proof that you have lived at your present location for 10 days preceding the Election. (See list of acceptable identification below.)
At the Polling Place on Election Day
If you wish to register to vote at your polling place, you must first determine what district you are located in from the Voter District Map, and the location of that Polling Place. Once this is determined, you must bring proof that you have lived at your present location for 10 days preceding the Election. For purposes of voter registration, a form of identification constitutes acceptable proof of residence if it includes:
- A current and complete name, including both the given and family name; and
- A current and complete residential address, including a numbered street address, if any, and the name of a municipality.
Acceptable Identification
Forms of identification which constitute acceptable proof of residence, when they contain the information specified above, include the following:
- A current and valid Wisconsin driver License / ID Card.
- Any other official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit.
- Any employee ID card with a photograph, but not a business card.
- A real estate property tax bill or receipt for the current year or the year preceding the date of the election.
- A residential lease (does not count as proof of residence if elector submits form by mail.
- A picture ID or fee card from a university, college or technical college.
- A gas, electric or telephone service bill for the period commencing not earlier than 90 days before the day registration is made.
- A bank statement.
- A paycheck.
