2008 WI DNR Boater Safety
We will be hosting the WI DNR boater safety class in May. Class will be at the Fish Hatchery, 425 Main St, 7pm - 9pm on the following dates: May 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & 29. There is a $10 charge for the class and we will register and collect the fee at the first class. Pre-register for the class by calling the police department at 262-646-6240 during business hours, 8:30am - 5pm, starting April 28th.
Students must be at least 11 years old at the time of class. Anyone born after January 1, 1989 and 16 years old or older must have a boater safety certificate to operate a boat in Wisconsin. See the WI DNR website: http://dnr.wi.gov/org/es/enforcement/safety/boated.htm

of "Phishing" Scams
We have been receiving many calls recently
in regards to people receiving suspicious
e-mails
and phone calls. The calls and e-mails are what is
called a Phishing scam. The
e-mail,
phone calls or regular mail will appear to be from
a legitimate business or organization and try to obtain
personal information from you. The information they
will try to get can include; birthday, social security
number, bank and credit card account information,
home address and phone number, and e-mail or internet
account information.
Please do NOT respond to these types of inquiries.
You should never give personal information out to
a unsolicited contact. Companies will not contact
you and ask for this information over the phone or
by e-mail.
If you have received simi liar calls or information
by e-mail or mail please disregard the message. If
you have answered one of these calls and feel you
may have been a victim of a scam, please contact your
local police department or the Internet Fraud Complaint
Center at www.ifccfbi.gov.
