Dog License

Welcome to the City of Delafield Dog License application page.

Section 22.04 of the municipal code states in part - Every owner of a dog more than 5 months of age on January 1 of any year, or 5 months of age within the license year, shall annually, or within 30 days from the date such dog becomes 5 months of age, at the time and in the manner provided by law for the payment of personal property taxes, pay to the Clerk, his dog license tax and obtain a license therefore. Prior to the issuance of the license the owner shall present evidence that the dog is currently immunized against rabies. A dog is considered to be unlicensed if a valid license tag is not attached to a collar which is kept on the animal

The fee for dog licenses are as follows:

Not Neutered or Spayed: $17.00 each dog
​Neutered or Spayed: $14.00 each dog

Max 3 dogs per household unless special exceptions apply.

​Please attach the rabies vaccination to the online submittal form.

​Payment
​Checks may be made out to the City of Delafield with the memo "Dog License" or cash
​1.) A check may be mailed to the City of Delafield 500 Genesee St. Delafield, WI 53018
​2.) A check may be dropped off in the drop box next to the library book return drop box
​3.) Check or cash is accepted at the City Hall between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

​Any checks mailed or placed in the drop box will result in the dog tag being mailed to the address on the application.
