Prescription Drug Collection Box
As of December 2015, the department has a prescription drug collection box installed in the lobby of the Public Safety Building, near the Police Department’s reception window. Any expired, unused and/or unwanted prescription medications can be left in the secure box for disposal. The department does not collect illegal narcotics, over the counter medications and liquids. Any abandoned items are secured at the Police Department until they can be disposed of properly. The collection box was funded by a grant from the Wal-Mart Corporation.
